The 54th annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS on Sunday, February 12, 2012. A great line up of presenters and performers has already been announced, including a few big names from country music. Lady Antebellum Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert will be among the Grammy award presenters for the star-studded evening while others, such as Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton and The Band Perry will perform.
The latest announcement of Carrie Underwood as part of the music line up will please many country music fans who are eagerly awaiting the release of Carrie Underwood's upcoming fourth album, Good Girl, in May. For now, fans will enjoy seeing Carrie Underwood perform with one of the greatest names in music history, Tony Bennett. The performance will be a sharp contrast to Carrie Underwood's recent CMT Crossroads Pepsi Fan Jam rock duet with Steven Tyler, but it only serves to show the range of Carrie Underwood's talent.
Carrie Underwood was a featured guest on Tony Bennett's 2011 album. Their duet, It Had To Be You, is part of the Tony Bennett Duets II album, which went to #1 on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Jazz Albums charts. Country artists Willie Nelson, k.d. Lang and Faith Hill also appear on the Tony Bennett Duets II album.
Carrie Underwood and Tony Bennett's version of the song It Had To Be You will be performed live as part of the 2012 Grammy Awards. The Grammy Awards begin at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on February 12th.
