A big secret in music and sports entertainment was revealed. Today, Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, announced that they are expecting their first child.
Carrie Underwood posted on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram an adorable photo of her and her two dogs. The caption read, "In honor of 'Labor' Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier..." The dogs were wearing shirts that said they would be becoming a big brother and a big sister.
Carrie Underwood married professional hockey player, Mike Fisher, in July 2010. Mike Fisher currently plays for the Nashville Predators. Many have been asking when they would be debuting a new addition to the family and now they have received that news. This will be the first child for both Underwood and Fisher.
There are no news of a due date. Mike Fisher joked about names on Twitter saying, “We haven't picked names yet but it's looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher.”
Underwood has no plans of slowing down just yet. On Sept. 7, fans can catch her special opening of singing “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.” She also continues to tour with stops in Illinois and New York City coming up in September.
Carrie Underwood has sold over 15 million records worldwide, as well as being an award winner, taking home trophies at the Country Music Association Awards, Grammys, Billboard Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, and more. She is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
