Yes, the Grammy-winner lashed back after critics and viewers slammed Carrie Underwood’s acting chops in Thursday night’s presentation of “The Sound of Music Live”, but it was as good-natured as Maria Von Trapp would have done.
Plain and simple: Mean people need Jesus. They will be in my prayers tonight... 1 Peter 2:1-25
Despite impressive ratings, critics and viewers were not happy with Carrie Underwood’s acting skill, a fact reiterated on Thursday, immediately after the live presentation, on Twitter from Kym Karath, the original Gretl from the 1965 movie version of ‘The Sound of Music”.
Must admit some scenes are actually painful to watch.
Regardless of the criticism that followed, it has been rumored NBC will make another attempt at a live presentation due to the overwhelming viewership “The Sound of Music Live” garnered.
