Country-music phenomenon Carrie Underwood has once again proven she may just have the best fans out there! At last night's fan-voted CMT Awards held in Nashville, Underwood walked away with two top awards, including the night's highest honor for 'Video of the Year' for “Cowboy Casanova”.
Her fans also made sure she snagged the award for 'CMT Performance of the Year for “Temporary Home” from CMT: Invitation Only presents Carrie Underwood.
“Awesome fans, awesome, awesome, amazing, awesome”, said Underwood when she accepted her 'Video of the Year' trophy at the end of the telecast. “The fans thank you! ”
Underwood has every reason to endlessly thank her fans as they have never let her down since her very early American Idol days. While a contestant on the popular Fox singing reality show, Underwood was never voted into the bottom three. It came as no surprise when she won the title as the 2005 American Idol.
At last night's CMT Awards, Underwood showed off those vocals that kept her at the top of her game on Idol when she performed her newest single “Undo it”. She was presented by the song's co-writer and American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi.
Underwood will remain in Nashville to perform at tonight's CMA Music Fest.
