Carrie Underwood fell on stage in Corpus Christi Thursday. The entertainer took a misstep and ended up falling off her five inch heels. The star admitted she couldn't feel her toes after tumbling and thought she might have broken something. It turns out that no bones were broken, but she might have sprained, twisted or injured her leg as she was fitted with a cast.
“Hey, remember that time in Corpus Christi when that girl busted her butt on stage?! Hilarious! Oh wait, that was me! #5inchheels #klutz,” tweeted Carrie Underwood from her official Twitter account. The entertainer followed up with a picture and an update. “Good news, it's not broken...AND I got some new footwear!”
The dangers of the stage can often be overlooked by the entertainers who perform every night. From water on the surface to no lighting, it’s tough. Add high heels and it gets even tougher. It’s quite surprising accidents don’t happen more often.
Carrie Underwood is one tough entertainer. While the injury might be inconvenient, it appears the show will go on. Of course she might have to leave the five-inch heels in the tour bus, but that will be fine with the fans as long as she can sing.
