Since the new albums of American Idols Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Jason Castro will all be released in November, MTV asked passers by in Times Square to say which of them they would buy first.
The idea came after Adam Lambert announced the release date of his very anticipated debut album. As it turned out, Kris Allen and Jason Castro will release their albums on November 17th, and Carrie Underwood will do the same on November 3rd.
The ensuing question was obvious: If they had to choose one, which album by an American Idol would buyers go for first?
According to the MTV Newsroom "Oh Snap!" poll's "hilariously unscientific results", Carrie Underwood's, with the people who voted for her "endorsing the quality of her voice and her crossover status". The country star really beat the other three with 61% of the vote, leaving 23% for Adam Lambert, "with many people choosing his style as the thing that would push him over the top", and 8% each for Kris Allen and Jason Castro.

To be honest, I found this poll a little dumb! Carry Underwood has been out and famous for a few years now and Adam is just starting out. Probably Carry has more fans right now, but as soon as Adam's album comes out and he is in more solo concerts, he is going to be more famous than Adam. I enjoy Adam's music style more and I am planning to buy his album. But I would never consider Carry, although she has a beautiful voice.

I find this article incredibly misleading. People were asked which album they will by first, and Carrie's is coming out first! Basically you asked them: what comes first: November 3rd, 17th, or 24th?. Yet this article makes it sound like people said "I like Carrie WAY better than Jason, Adam or Kris" which doesn't relate to what was asked!

Just as I suspected ... another "who cares" poll to get hits for your article and stir up the fans yet again. For me it's ADAM ... Carrie has been making albums for what? I can't wait for Adam's album! I already preordered several. Also I want front row at his concert somehow I will make that happen I already saw him from the 2nd row but I don't want anybody blocking his royal hotness from my view!!
Ok ... this may seem irrelevant to the Clay fans but ... you say that Clay has achieved so much and released so many CD's, etc, etc, ... but how long did it take for him to support a charity after AI? How many sound tracks did he make for the movies and/or TV? How well known was he WORLDWIDE? How many "standing O's" did he receive from Simon Cowell or any of the mentors on AI? And did any well known musician such as "BRIAN MAY of QUEEN" sing his praises and say that the world has found another "ROCK"STAR??? Just asking .....

I have had the privilege of hearing some of Jason Castro's new music. I love it. I will be buying his album. It's the only one of the four I'm remotely interested in.
Jason Castro single is such a fun happy song. I don't like country music so no Carrie, I do love Adam but want to hear the direction he takes before I commit, Kris Allen, torn nothing special to me similar in genre to Jason but doesn't have the 'presence' will have to hear something original before deciding.
I am all about Adam's album!! Could care less about Carrie and will probably buy a song or two from Jason and Kris. Adam is the man!!!

These poills are so misleading. As I hope they all sell lots of albums..I will only be buying Carrie Underwood.
Hmmm... who buys Carrie Underwood? I won't be surprised if she sells well in America as Middle America loves American country music. If she really has a great voice, she should have competed against the pop stars but I bet she doesn't have the confidence because she only fits the country genre.

I predict Adam Lambert will sell the MOST. That poll that MTV reviewed were mostly Carrie's fans. Besides during the interviewed they were pretty even. Who buys Carrie Underdog CD's but the cow cow listener. There is only One song that I don't mind of Carrie "Jesus Take the Wheel". Carrie is not that good of a singer anyways. The reason she was popular in the Country is because they are sucker for Blonds. They have a lot of a better Contry singer than Carrie. It's like Carrie's popularity was a set up. There are a lot of better singer than Carrie, so when she won those awards is based on her blondie color nothing else.

Castro gets my vote. I happened to be at the Grove when Castro performed. Didn't expect him to be that good. I was impressed. If those songs he performed will be in his album then people should check his album. I only heard five songs and I'm interested to hear more from him. I'm a guy by the way.
This poll is SO unscientific. I know ppl who refuse to come to this site, b/c they say they are too "Adam-negative" whatever that means. Of course I'm buying Adam's CD the first minute it comes out. The country ppl can have Carrie Underwood, she's talented, but her music isn't my thing.
I don't think this polling is fair enough. Carrie is a former idol who already released some albums before, so people at least have heard her. But for Adam and Kris onlu about to release next November...of course people need to hear the albums first. Don't forget, country music is American music...and some Americans are homophobic...
Adam of course will sell the most. He has started to carve a niche in the music industry because of his unique and fascinating talent. Everybody else sounds the same.

I love Adam and will be all over his album the minute it comes out and me even go see the dumb disastro flick just to hear him sing in a theater will all of that great sound! But I always had a soft spot for Jason Castro and I listened to something on his website and I wanted to just go there aand listen to it again!
BTW, I think Carrie and Kris are both great and I can see this two doing a duet!

There's nothing good about this poll, thus this article. It's baseless, its not fair, it's unreasonable therefore invalid. Why not go for love and not war among fans? Remember it's the intention of the heart that's what God sees and the ensuing result how your deed affects people. This is so futile. So lame. It's but nothing. It's garbage.
I'm only buying Jason Castro's album. His new single "Let's Just Fall In Love Again" is so good. Go get it on iTunes and Amazon.
I will be buying Carrie's new album the day it comes out. She has an incredible voice and I love her new song Cowboy Casanova. I don't think we need to talk bad about any of these artists. They are all talented in their own way.
