Carrie Underwood has been a fan-favorite on the country music scene for what seems like forever. When she was chosen as the winner of “American Idol,” there was no doubt that one day she would be larger than life. Four years ago Underwood married hockey player, Mike Fisher. According to a September 1 report from People, Carrie Underwood is expecting her first child with Mike Fisher. The couple will welcome their baby in spring. Fans are excited for the couple!

Since it was Labor Day weekend, Carrie Underwood thought she would announce her pregnancy in a super cute way. She took to Instagram to post a photo with her dogs wearing "big brother" and "big sister" shirts. Fans were stunned by the news and have sent plenty of congratulations across social media. Mike Fisher even joked about the baby's name being “Fly” making it “Fly Fisher.” Don't worry though, this couple isn't going to be as crazy as other celebrity couples with baby names. From the wedding to their home life, this couple has lived as “normal” as possible since the beginning.

It is unsure how the pregnancy will affect Carrie Underwood's career. Because the news has just been announced there aren't many details. It is assumed that Underwood is about three months along in her pregnancy, putting her due date sometime in March 2015. As the date draws closer, fans are hoping Underwood and Mike Fisher will announce the sex of the baby. Fans wish both Underwood and Fisher a happy and healthy pregnancy!
