Country superstar, Carrie Underwood, and her husband, Nashville Predator's hockey-star, Mike Fisher, have teamed up with a PSA for the "Do it For Daron" campaign.
This heroic campaign began back in the fall of 2010 after14-year-old Daron Richardson tragically took her own life. Even at such a young age, Daron suffered from metal illness, as do thousands (perhaps even millions) of young people across the country. By raising awareness for this epidemic, D.I.F.D is hoping to open eyes and ears about bullying and teen suicide. It not only affects the victims but their familes, as well. Earlier this year, on February 8th, 2011, hundreds of schools and organizations vowed to wear purple in hopes that more people would realize that things needed to change. Note: Purple was Daron's favorite color.

How do Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher fit into this picture? They recently recorded a PSA for this campaign to encourage youth that "you are beautiful" and that "you are not alone." You can check out the PSA by clicking the video to the left.
"Are you with us?" Carrie smiles at the end. Somehow, in the darkest of despair, the lightness and shine of their words can bring hope to so many young people.
