A Carrie movie prank shocked coffee shop patrons in New York City. Huffington Post reports Oct. 7 some good actors combined with wire rigging, and a fake wall made the Carrie prank successful. Remote-controlled tables and chairs added to the effect and scared everyone half to death.
Customers freaked out from the clever performance. A woman is seen in the video appearing to have telekinetic powers. The whole prank made for a convincing scene. As of Tuesday morning, the video posted on YouTube fetched over seven million views.
The scene was reportedly staged by those involved in the remake horror film of Carrie. It was originally filmed in 1976 when Sissie Spacek played the title role. She was voted prom Queen and learned it was a cruel joke of several students. She used her powers to get revenge as she stood on stage after a bucket of pig blood spilled all over her.
The Stephen King classic will be in theaters in a new version coming Oct. 18.
