As a way to help build up hype for the upcoming release of the new "Carrie" movie, the crew decided to pull a stunt and have some fun with random customers who were under the impression that they were only making a quick stop for some coffee.
They're caught off guard as a random girl who has had coffee spilled on her unleashes her frustration in a most unexpected way. Cameras were hidden to catch their reactions as tables and chairs moved on their own and books flew off the shelves.
The setup is a bit weak (personally I would have had the "telekinetic" be one of the employees who has suffered one too many rude or demanding customers, but it really is just a formality before you get to the good stuff), but the video is still pretty entertaining.
The crew did a good job of making everything look like it was really happening. Honestly, were it not for the fact that you see how they set everything up beforehand, you could see how people were legitimately caught off guard, despite common sense telling you that there is no such thing as telekinesis.
I don't know if it will get people excited for the movie per se, but it is an entertaining watch and you can see why they decided to have some fun with it. If nothing else, the video has become something of a viral hit as it only went up yesterday and already has over 3.5 million views on Youtube.
