Carrie Fisher was hospitalized after a bizarre outburst on a cruise ship according to TMZ. Fisher’s representative told TMZ the outburst was caused by Fisher’s bipolar disorder. Video footage of the bizarre behavior, showing Fisher slurring a couple of off key songs, surfaced recently.
The video was taken on board the Holland America Eurodam in the Carribean. Her dog even poops and pees on the stage during Fisher’s performance, which only serves to add to the craziness. Some reports say that Fisher, who was surprise celebrity, featured guest was intoxicated or on drugs the entire cruise.
Fisher’s rep insists the strange behavior is due to her bipolar disorder and Fisher was not intoxicated or under the influence of illegal narcotics. "There was a medical incident related to Carrie Fisher’s bipolar disorder. She went to the hospital briefly to adjust her medication and is feeling much better now."
Fisher is a recovering drug addict who has been very open about her bipolar disorder. The rep says it’s unclear if Fisher will return to the cruise line for any future performances.
