Carrabba's Italian Grill 5 for $5 happy hour (Photos)

With locations in more than 30 states, Carrabba’s Italian Grill is noted for its classic Italian pastas, wood-fired oven pizzas, and grilled entrees cooked over hardwood coals, an old Italian tradition.

Guests at most locations can enjoy a special “5 for $5” menu of appetizers and drink specials in the lounge, usually offered from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, hours and menus can change at each location, so call ahead for current information.

The $5 appetizer menu includes several selections from Carrabba’s regular menu including a seasonal bruschette reflecting the freshest ingredients in the kitchen, and the tasty zucchini fritte, lightly fried in a tasty coating and served with a roasted garlic aioli. The chicken spiedini, a skewer of marinated white meat chicken, is cooked on the wood-burning grill for maximum flavor.

Two flatbreads prepared in the wood-burning oven are also on the $5 menu: one topped with spinach and creamy chunks of goat cheese, and another topped with bacon and caramelized onions, a popular and tasty choice.

Accompanying the food menu is a selection of special $5 cocktails, including several created especially for Carrabba’s. The Bocce Ball, made with vodka, amaretto, orange juice, and a splash of soda, sort of a screwdriver on steroids, fits in particularly well with the Italian theme.

On Tasting Tuesdays, held weekly at most locations, a special wine tasting featuring a flight of three wines, red or white, your choice, is $8. Download the Uncorked app, available for iPhone or Android, to complete the experience.
