Caron Butler to Thunder rumors might shock some Miami Heat fans. The news that Caron Butler will sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder is breaking and it has to make OKC fans pretty excited. According to a report from Yahoo! on Friday (Feb. 28), his agent was able to come to a buyout agreement with the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday (Feb. 27), making it so he can sign with any other team of his choosing.
It seemed like it was just a matter of time before the NBA veteran signed with Miami, as he has history with the team, despite getting traded to the LA Lakers as part of the Shaquille O'Neal deal. Now the news has come out that he would rather go play with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook as an additional weapon of the bench there.
This had been a throwaway season for Butler up to this point, as he had struggled quite a bit with the Bucks. The franchise is well on its way to posting the worst record in the NBA for 2013-14, so it tried to save some money by buying out one of its veteran players. He has averaged 15.3 points over his career in the league and now the Caron Butler to Thunder rumors make sense if he feels that they are primed to make a run at the NBA Finals.
