Carolyn Laine (50A) afraid to take picture with opponent

On September 30th the North Metro Mayors Association hosted a District 50 forum for the Senate and House candidates in Senate District 50. The forum was full of softball and general questions that allowed the candidates to respond in any way they felt without having to address anything in specific.

While disappointed with the forum there was a laughable situation that occured after the forum was over. When the forum was completed Tim Utz's press person asked Carolyn Laine if she would be willing to pose for a picture with her opponent (in which she would be sent a copy as well). When the photographer identified himself she stated that she did not want have her picture taken with her opponent and scurried away from the chambers.

While in the lobby she was asked (by me) why she wouldn't take a picture with her opponent and what she was afraid of. She responded that she "wasnt afraid of anything" and then immediately proved she was lying by stating "I don't know what he will use it for". Ms. Laine and her volunteers started to leave in a rush.

When asked why they were running away, they said they were not at which time a tiny older man stepped up to me and tried to stare me down (I'm easily 150 pd and 6 inches taller) and told me "kiss my a--". He realized quickly that I could not be physically intimidated he scampered away and entered a large truck (which isn't very environmentally friendly of Ms. Laine to ride in).

This is not surprising that her staff when address with a simple question about why they didn't want to take a picture with their opponent they respond with physical intimidation. I would like to call upon Carolyn Laine to condemn the physical aggression displayed by the volunteer of her campaign.

Carolyn Laine is a wonderful state representative for this district. Why would she want her picture taken with her opponent? How many people of either party would pose for that? Carolyn is not, and never will be, a patsy for Republican tricks. Give it a break folks!

It is customary for two opponents to be willing to pose for a picture during an election. It seems you have no problems with the attempted intimidation of her staff. Now, the man who did it was an petite, feeble old man, but the fact he tried to intimidate me is of serious concern.

Carolyn Laine is well known for not responding to communications sent to her by her constituents that do not agree with her. When she does respond it is usually ridicule of the people that she is suppose to represent. When face to face with one of her constituents who asks a simple question is isn't shocking she would run away like a rodent and sic some buzzard on the person asking the question.

I will say I also find it interesting that the far left of our districts hide behind pseudonyms, while the people who are center to right have no problem publishing their real name along with their comment. Just like normal politics, the left is too afraid to let people know their true beliefs in black and white.
