Carolyn Chute to speak at Goucher

 Copyright Joanna Eldredge Morrisey, 2009

Respected author Carolyn Chute will be speaking at Goucher College on Thursday October 22.  She will read from some of her works.

The event, which will take place in the Kraushaar auditorium at 8 p.m, is sponsored by the Kratz Center for Creative writing. It is free and open to the public, but tickets must be reserved ahead of time.

According to Goucher's website, Chute is a "novelist and founder of a nonpartisan militia." She founded the "Second Maine Militia" and refers to "2MM as a no-wing militia" because members come from all parties and ways of life.

Chute has written several novels. You can read more about her and her works at Goucher's Website.

I went to the event last night. Her reading was really good. I liked the stories she read.
