The third annual Carolina Rebellion has been expanded into a two-day music festival that will take place on May 4 and 5, 2013. Rock City Campgrounds at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. will host the event. Its lineup was announced on Feb 1, 2013 and is comparable to what was announced for the three-day Rock on the Range music festival, minus a few key acts.
Headliners for Saturday and Sunday are Seattle artists Alice in Chains and Soundgarden, respectively. These seminal artists helped to usher in a new era of music in the 90s and still demonstrate their influence and strength several decades later. Alice in Chains, recently premiered a new single, "Hollow," and are putting the finishing touches on their fifth studio album. Soundgarden are presently touring on their 2012 release, "King Animal."
Having sold-out in 2012, the festival is making great strides in contributing to the World's Loudest Month alongside Welcome to Rockville, Rockfest, Rock on the Range and Rocklahoma. An internet pre-sale will be held on Feb. 6 through Feb. 7 via the Rebellion newsletter, signup via Facebook or Carolina Rebellion.
The complete list of artists includes Alice In Chains, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Bullet For My Valentine, Halestorm, Asking Alexandria, Sick Puppies, In This Moment, Device (with David Draiman), Young Guns, Otherwise, Aranda, Tracer and Monstro on Saturday, May 4.
Sunday, May 5 will feature Soundgarden, Rise Against, Bush, 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Volbeat, Hollywood Undead, All That Remains, Steel Panther, Pop Evil, Escape the Fate, Nonpoint, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red Line Chemistry, Heaven’s Basement and American Fangs
