The 2013 NFL live streaming and televised game of the day for Sunday, Dec. 8 will be played during Sunday Night Football in front of a national TV audience. The Carolina Panthers are going for their ninth straight win, but it will be a tough one to get, as they face Drew Brees and the Saints in New Orleans, where the home team is 6-0 this season. Can Carolina continue their impressive run and take over the division from the Saints? The latest televised and live streaming NFL 2013 games for Sunday Night Football will be presented via NBC.

According to in their Dec.8 report, the Panthers are looking to become the second team this season in the NFL to win nine straight games. However, it will mean defeating another tough opponent on their schedule, their NFC South rivals, the New Orleans Saints. The Saints enter this contest after getting blown out in Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, one of the strong contenders in the NFC and NFL for a Super Bowl victory in 2014. Coach Sean Payton said of his team's loss heading into this game:

"It's a setback and now you're on a short week, but we have to make the corrections. We can't just say it didn't happen. But that being said, we have to quickly get focused on Carolina. They're playing as good football as anybody in the league right now."

Carolina was 2-0 against the Saints during their 2012 season, but the times have changed for both teams. New Orleans was hurting without Payton coaching due to his suspension, while the Panthers were struggling as well. Now both teams appear headed for the playoffs, and will have two clashes before the season ends to show how strong they are in the NFC.

The Panthers, currently 9-3 overall, bring the league's top defense into tonight's game against one of the top quarterbacks in the league. Drew Brees has racked up 3,794 yards and 29 touchdowns this season on 323-of-477 completed passes, but Carolina ranks sixth in the league in passing defense. The Panthers are currently holding teams to just 209.6 yards passing per game, and only 80.3 yards on rushing, which is second best.

Among Carolina's 8-game winning streak have been victories over the New England Panthers and San Francisco 49ers, two other teams mentioned as Super Bowl contenders for 2014. A win over the Saints tonight would certainly be another definining moment in what has been an impressive 2013 campaign, and a potential push towards the Super Bowl. No matter who wins, these two teams will met yet again just two weeks from today, so these two games may define which team ends up taking the division and has the best chance at advancing towards the Super Bowl.

Odds makers have New Orleans favored by a field goal tonight over the Panthers, and rightfully so as they are 6-0 at the Mercedez-Benz Superdome this season. The over/under points total for this game is set at 53 1/2 points at various sports books, with weather a non-factor due to the dome.

Sunday night's Panthers vs. Saints game has a scheduled start time of 8:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. This latest edition of Sunday Night Football is televised for cable and satellite viewers on NBC in standard and hi-definition presentations. NBC also presents their SNF games live streaming online through the NBC Sports Live Extra website, complete with additional features such as stats, tweets and camera angles from both teams' perspectives on the field.
