Carole Radziwill and her boyfriend Russ Irwin split up last year after a couple of years of long-distance dating.

During their relationship, Carole resided in New York City while Russ stayed in Los Angeles, but for them, the concept seemed to work.

In 2013, Russ appeared alongside Carole on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York City" where the pair were seen enjoying a ride through the city as they listened to a song Russ had written for Carole about their relationship.

They were a cute pair but sadly, they are a couple no more, and Russ, for one, has been left heartbroken.

In a new interview, he is speaking out about Carole's rejection of his marriage proposal and her desire to see other men -- while they were dating.

“I told Carole, ‘I’m in love with you. I want to settle down, get married and have a family – and I want to do it with you.’ But her response was, ‘I never want to get married again,’" Irwin revealed to Radar Online on March 12.

And not only did Carole not want to commit to marriage, she also wasn't a fan of monogamy, which was a hard pill for Russ to swallow.

“She wanted an open relationship, which I NEVER wanted. It’s ironic,” he continued. “She wanted to date other people. She wanted her independence and didn’t want to be tied down to someone she had to check in with every day.”
