The house where actress Carole Lombard lived between her marriages to William Powell and Clark Gable is back on the market. Current pictures of the Hollywood Hills "bachelorette pad" are available at Curbed Los Angeles, as are photos of how the house looked back when Lombard lived there and had her decor done by actor-turned-decorator Billy Haines.
The four-bedroom, three-bath, 2,960-square-foot home at 7953 Hollywood Blvd. comes wth a guesthouse. If you've got money to burn, it's available to rent (a mere $6,500/month) or buy, for $1.595 million.
Lombard, one of Hollywood's most beautiful and gifted comediennes, died tragically in an airplane crash in 1942, devastating husband Clark Gable, who, it's said, never recovered from her death. Her films include 'Nothing Sacred,' '20th Century,' 'To Be or Not to Be,' and 'My Man Godfrey.'
Before they were married, she and Gable also lived in the penthouse of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, which is now known as the Gable and Lombard Suite.
