Talk about rocking the boat! Carnival Cruise Lines has announced the Carnival Live Concert Series that’ll give passengers a chance to see big name acts like Styx, Chicago, Lady Antebellum and REO Speedwagon perform in concert aboard ship.
Eight different Carnival ships like the new Carnival Breeze will be offering the concerts, which will take place in the ship’s theater while the vessels are docked at Cozumel, Mexico, Nassau in the Bahamas or Catalina Island, California. A total of 49 shows will take place during the remainder of 2014. While music immersion cruises are becoming more and more popular these days, this type of presentation is an industry first. The shows come at an additional cost but at $20-40 per ticket the price is less than fans would generally pay to see these acts on land.
Other acts confirmed for the Carnival Live Concert Series include Daughtry, Foreigner, Kansas, Jewel, 38 Special, Gavin DeGraw, Jennifer Hudson, Trace Adkins, LeAnn Rimes, Olivia Newton-John and Martina McBride. Special VIP packages that include a meet-and-greet with photo opportunity, a souvenir laminated pass and seating in the first three rows are also available; these are priced at $100-150.
Tickets for the concerts may only be booked after a cruise ticket is purchased; more information and a full schedule of shows can be found here. Tickets can also be purchased at the ship’s shore excursion desk once you’re on board.
