Carnival Cruise passengers stranded on side of road after bus breaks down

In what can only be described as unbelievable, one of the buses carrying Carnival Cruise passengers from the docked "Triumph" to New Orleans broke down on the side of the road. According to Yahoo News on Feb. 15, a group of passengers who had just disembarked from the ill-fated Carnival Triumph and boarded the chartered bus to New Orleans, were stranded only 45 minutes into the bus trip!

The passengers had to wait around 45 minutes for another bus to arrive and get them en route to their destination once again.

After a nightmarish cruise, stranded in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico with no engine, electricity, water, or bathroom facilities to speak of, it would be almost unthinkable for the chartered buses to have a mishap like this. We can only speculate about how the affected passengers reacted after their long ordeal. The unlikelihood of being stranded yet again is almost a comedic ending to the horrible story, if it were only a sit-com.
