Carnival Cruise Lines has taken the next steps to ensure that its passengers are well taken care of in the Fun department. The line has introduced Fun Ship 2.0, a group of enhancements sure to make Carnival vacations even more legendary than they already are. The enhancements will begin rolling out onto select ships in October of 2011 and will continue - some fleet-wide - throughout 2012.
These features include:
- Punchliner Comedy Club presented by George Lopez - that's right, world-renowned funny man George Lopez is involved to make sure you get your laughs in while cruising. He will hand select the talent to come on board with you to tickle your funny bones. And don't forget the Punchliner Comedy Brunch, a great combination of comedy, food and drink. This is coming to Carnival Liberty (October 2011) and fleet-wide (2012);
- Guy's Burger Joint - Food Network star Guy Fieri is lending his help to create the ultimate "roadside" burger shack, which will be poolside onboard. Experience fantastic off-the-grill burgers and fries and even use the Topping Bar to create your own fantasy burger, just like how Guy would want you to indulge. This is coming to Carnival Liberty (October 2011), Carnival Breeze (June 2012), Carnival Conquest (October 2012), and Carnival Glory (November 2012);
- Hasbro - The Game Show - this fun feature will combine old school favorite board games and infuse them with others that you know and love. Only this time, it's on stage! From SORRY SLIDERS! to YAHTZEE BOWLING, CONNECT 4 BASKETBALL, OPERATION SAM DUNK and SIMON FLASH, you'll team up to win great prizes! This is coming to Carnival Breeze (June 2012), Carnival Conquest (October 2012), and Carnival Glory (November 2012);
- EA SPORTS™ Bar - It's In The Game™ - guys and gals who are looking to see the best sporting events, look no further. You will no longer be away from your teams with this combination of bar and great action. You can check out games, real-time scores or even play some of your own with EA Sports' most popular titles. This exciting feature is coming to Carnival Liberty (October 2011), Carnival Conquest (October 2012) and Carnival Glory (November 2012);
- DJ IRIE - now dubbed the Official DJ of Carnival Cruise Lines, the famous Miami Heat DJ will now train other aspiring DJs to keep the dance clubs aboard Carnival ships rocking all night. This exciting new feature will come to Carnival Liberty (October 2011), Carnival Conquest (October 2012) and Carnival Glory (November 2012);
- Playlist Productions - according to Carnival, "When taking in the experience of Playlist Productions, you can't help it if your foot starts tapping. Don't be surprised to find your head bobbing. And don't look now, but your hips are swinging! These high-energy, all-hit stage performances bring together talented singers, dancers and popular tunes you know by heart. From hot Latin dance music to Motown classics, Brit hits to unforgettable pop-diva tunes, there's a show that'll capture the spirit of song and the delight of dance… and make you feel it for sure." Playlist will be coming to Carnival Breeze (June 2012); Carnival Conquest (October 2012) and Carnival Glory (November 2012).
