Carnival 2013 is in full gear! The always spectacular, anything goes event kicked off Sat. Feb 9, and will run through Tue. Feb.11. The festival that has often been dubbed as the "must do party" has already seen near record crowds.
Reports have already come in from Rio that the streets have been filled with as many as 1.5 million onlookers, most of which got more than an eyeful of scantily dressed dancers.
The BBC reported on Feb. 9 that even though there have been over 100 arrests, the party goers are being overall cooperative and festivities have been running smoothly to this point.
The only thing that may be getting to the near record crowd is the heat, as it's been reported that even though party goers are having a great time, some have passed out due to heat exhaustion.
If you are heading down to Carnival over the next few days to join the bash, try to remember to stay hydrated - as tough as that may be looking at the samba dancers!
