Who needs stagehands to have fun?
Last Wednesday night the Carnegie Hall Opening Night Gala was cancelled due to a last minute stagehand strike. Despite the musical portion of the gala being cancelled, it didn't stop guests from getting their party on.
The deep pocketed ticket purchasers were quite disappointed they wouldn't hear the Philadelphia Orchestra and Joshua Bell perform, but they were thrilled to learn(via a well organized press dept.) that the gala dinner portion of the evening was still on, and as always at the Waldorf Astoria, it was DELICIOUS!
Top shelf cocktail hr, Zebra-print tablecloths with a scattering of palm trees gave the black tie affair an extra bit of flair, as guests included Olympic Skating great Sasha Cohen, NYC socialite Jean Shafiroff and Violinist Joshua Bell dined and danced the night away to an amazing live orchestra.
