Carmel Jewelry Store Robbed during AT&T golf tournament

Details are sketchy but while PGA Tour players and celebrities alike were playing out their second round during the annual AT&T Pebble Beach ProAm, Hesselbein's, a popular Carmel jewelry store was reportedly robbed.

One account said someone purporting to be a PG&E worker checking out a gas leak intercepted customers at the front door and directed them to the back of the store where they were held and robbed.

Hesselbein's, located in the Crossroad's shopping center has been in business some 45 years and has been cited by the Carmel Pine Cone newspaper as best jewelry store in Carmel.

No further details are available at this time.

Northern California based tour players playing in the event include tour rookie James Hahn, Kevin Sutherland and Nick Watney.
