Carly Rae Jepsen is watching a dream come true with her first appearance on Broadway. Jepsen will be making her Broadway debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella", reports The Hollywood Reporter on Dec. 29, 2013. Jepsen will replace Laura Osnes on Feb. 4, 2014.
Jepsen became more well known than ever last year with her hit "Call Me Maybe". Jepsen will star in the musical show for 12 weeks. Jepsen, who began performing in musical theater in high school, has said, "Broadway has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, and I look forward to working with this incredibly talented cast to tell this classic tale." The show is a real winner and has already grossed $44.3 million through the week ending Dec. 22. The show has earned a total of nine Tony nominations this year.
Broadway.com also reported that "Call Me Maybe" pop princess Carly Rae Jepsen will make her Broadway debut in "Cinderella". She will be replacing Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Laura Osnes to be the title princess of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. This follows the rise of Jepsen's “Call Me Maybe” the #1 spot on the Billboard charts in 47 countries. Jepsen is really dynamic and perfect for her role in Cinderella.
