The 28-year-old pop singer has been picked to play the titular role of the Rodgers + Hammerstein version of the classic fairy tale for a 12-week run on Broadway beginning on Feb. 4.
Jepsen is apparently a huge fan of the fairy tale, calling the "Cinderella" story "hopeful and inspiring." The modern, musical take on the story has already received Tony nods.

The Canadian-born singer became a sensation with her 2012 phone-themed teen anthem, despite the fact that she was already well into her twenties. Now, she'll still be playing the part of a much younger girl, but she'll be doing it in a very grown-up way. On Broadway.
