Carlos Creek Winery, Alexandria, MN

Just on the outskirts of Alexandria, Minnesota and the famous Ole statue is the Carlos Creek Winery.

Carlos Creek Winery was founded in 1997, and the doors to the winery were officially opened in July of 1999. The winery is located on 160 acres with 13 acres devoted to vines and 15 dedicated to apples. Its grapes include grape varieties include Frontenac, Sabrevois, Valiant, King of the North, Brianna, Marquette, Petite Pearl and Edelweiss with apple varieties of Cortland, Fireside, Haralson, McIntosh, Regent, and our largest planting, Honeycrisp, the state apple of Minnesota.

Carlos Creek Winery is home to one of the largest vineyards and apple orchards in Minnesota. There is no cost for touring and tours are available at 1:00 and 3:00 daily plus at 5:00 on Saturdays.

Carlos Creek Winery also provides live music Saturdays from 2:00 to 6:00 all year long and Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 2:00 to 6:00 from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The winery also has activities all season long including the Craft Aisle, Maze Explorations, and Surrey Bikes. During winter months it provides dogsled rides and ski trails through the orchard.
