On Saturday, Caribbean Premier League 2013 live stream cricket matches continue, as three important matchups for the points table occur. Among those matchups, will be two of the top three teams overall in the standings, as U.S. fans will get to see a Jamaica vs. Barbados live streaming cricket match online. The ESPN broadband sports network will be showing this game as the middle of three on the day.
According to Jamaica-Gleaner on Aug. 16, the Tallawahs will be coming into this matchup following a disappointing five run loss at the hands of the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Sunil Narine, known as the world's top Twenty20 bowler, was named "Man of the Match" for his team's victory. This made for the Warriors second win of the inaugural season against the Tallawahs. With the win, Narine and his teammates are looking forward to the upcoming semi-finals next week. However, Jamaica is still third overall in the table, and a win would over Barbados would give the Tallawahs an identical record to that of Guyana.
Meanwhile, Barbados started off hot, but has been struggling lately. After going 4-0 overall, the team has dropped two consecutive match ups including a recent loss to the Antigua Hawksbills by 5 wickets back on Aug. 13. Barbados is still the overall leader in the CPL points table, but as mentioned both Guyana and Jamaica are right on their heels. A win by the Tallawahs on Saturday could make things even more interesting at the upper half of the CPL standings heading towards the semi-finals next week.
The latest matchup between the Tallawahs and Tridents will be played at Sabina Park in Kingston. Weather reports indicate a high temperature of 89 degrees, with humidity likely to make it feel much warmer. There's also a 30% chance of rain for the morning and at night, so playing conditions could get slick during this afternoon match.
Saturday's Jamaica vs. Barbados cricket match has an online start time of 1:50 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Fans of the sport in the U.S. can head over to the WatchESPN/ESPN3 website to see it live streaming online, along with two other matchups during the day including Antigua vs. Guyana at 7:50 p.m. EDT and St. Lucia vs. Trinidad & Tobago at 9:50 a.m. EDT.
