Here are some interesting facts about aging

Did you know that only five percent of people over 65 are in nursing homes. Men live with their significant other and women prefer to live alone.

Eighty percent of those over 65 will have at least one long lasting ailment or disease, heart problems, arthritis, or osteoporosis for example.

The number of women over 65 outweighs men 100-69. Nearing 85 or older the number is 100-39.

Ninety six percent of retired people (65 and over) are on Medicaid.

The current life expectancy age is now 77.

One in ten of the elderly are abused by their caregiver either physically or emotionally.
