The US Veterans Motorcycle Club of Long Island is inviting the public to bring donated items, including toiletries, snacks and entertainment items (games, DVDs, videos, books and CDs,etc.) to be sent to our troops fighting on a regular basis overseas for their annual Care Package Pack Out on Monday January 21st.
According to Club President Frank Bania, the group developed their package program to, " get the items over to our fighting men and women and to say we care. Even more than us sending packages, it is to let them know that we are behind them."
Last year, the Veterans Motorcycle Club collected more than 1,800 boxes.
This year's Pack Out will take place at 6:30pm at the Patchogue Lodge of Elks on Oak St., Patchogue, Long Island. While snacks are always in demand, a full list of items needed is available at usvmcli.org
Those interested in participating can bring their boxes to the Pack Out, or contact a member of the motorcycle club by calling 631 294-5248. A $15 donation will cover the cost of shipping one package.
