Cardio kickboxing for a great fun workout

The term cardio kickboxing is used to describe many types of exercise classes, most of which are not really cardio kickboxing. The actual phrase “cardio Kickboxing” is copywrited and describes a form of exercise that is based on full contact karate. The real cardio kickboxing is a very good workout, but most people don’t want to actually hit other people and really fight.

There are other exercise classes that are referred to as cardio kickboxing that are really aerobic kickboxing, Tae Bo, cardio dance with kicks and punches, and step aerobics with kicks and punches. There is nothing wrong with these other workouts, but the ones that are the most benefit are the aerobic kickboxing classes.

In aerobic kickboxing, you will kick and punch bags, but there is no sparing or contact with other people. The huge benefits of aerobic kickboxing classes is that not only do you get a great workout, but you also get some instruction that could help you in self defense situation in a small way. You are not going to get actual self-defense training, but knowing how to punch and kick with force could help you in a self-defense situation.

The simple self defense moves that you will learn will increase your self confidence and will store in your mind the moves needed to throw a good punch and land an effective kick if needed. You will learn the proper stance to punch and kick without losing your balance; you will learn to throw punches such as a jab, a cross, a hook, and an uppercut, as well as learn how to front kick, side kick and roundhouse kick, as well as how to stand and move to get the most power behind the kicks and punches.
