The third game was the Cardinals chance to put this series away, with their ace coming to the mound. It was a great pitching battle but it all fell apart thanks to Hanley Ramirez, who was playing despite injured ribs. Ramirez singled in his first at-bat and then drove in the final run in the eighth inning.
The Dodgers scored two runs in the fourth and the final in the eighth, with Wainwright giving up two of the earned runs himself. Rookie Ryu pitched seven scoreless innings and the Dodgers only gave up four hits in the game among their three pitchers.
Now, heading into the fourth game of the NLCS, there are some bad feelings as Carlos Beltran feels that rookie Yasiel Puig acted in an unsportsmanlike manner when he celebrated twice after the RBI triple in the game. Beltran admitted that Puig has passion, but said that he needs to learn humility now as well.
It will be interesting to see how Puig reacts if the Dodgers vs. Cardinals gamer tonight ties up the series at two. The Dodgers vs. Cardinals live stream and TV telecast has its first pitch at 8 p.m. EST.
