Time to celebrate in St. Louis the Cardinals have clinched the division and have home field advantage. You may have seen a lot of coverage of the three games that played over the past weekend, one thing is certain the Cardinals are headed to the play offs.
The Cardinals coach Mike Matheny when asked by Fox 2 news “With so many men injured and out of the game did you ever think you would make it to this level?” Matheny’s reply was an important one in the realm of fitness. “Next man up”.
When others were hurt and injured other players stepped up, the next man up. This is an important thing in fitness; you get hurt you have to get back up. If you want results you have to get the help you need, if that means a doctor or a workout buddy then that is what it takes.
Even if it doesn’t seem like you’re getting the results of all the hard work your putting in, the scale doesn’t budge your cravings are still there, your knees are on fire. You got to just keep going, next man up so to speak. Get a friend or hire a trainer to help you through the rough times, just as they do in baseball.
The game doesn’t end, you just keep on going, rest, recover, take a step back to go forward, get what you need to carry on with your fitness goals. St. Louis Cardinals have the best record national league, and so can you have your best record!
