No game today, but we will have minor league stats later.

Cardinal70 at Cardinal Conclave looks at recent roster moves; Tim Cooney, Lee Stoppelman, and Travis Tartamella were all sent to minor league camp. He notes that Stephen Piscotty, Xavier Scruggs and Pat Neshek are still in MLB camp; Neshek isn’t surprising, but the other 2 probably weren’t on anyone’s radar as possibilities to last this long, specifically Scruggs.

The guys at Gateway Redbirds make some bold predictions for the season; the first one is Matt Adams makes the All Star team. As long as it’s September’s version of Adams and not October’s, it totally possible. Adams has looked pretty good this spring and should rebound from his post-season struggles.

Oscar Taveras and Kolten Wong make the USA Today’s Top 30 Fantasy Prospects. Taveras is 5th and it’s hard to argue with that; Wong is down at 26, which could be a bad choice after the season. Wong’s had a great spring and he’s the highest ranked second baseman on the list, which isn’t a really deep position. His ranking should be closer to 15-20.

MLB.com also has their top 20 Cardinal prospects. It’s another pretty standard list, with little known Juan Herrera coming in at 15; Herrera was part of the Colby Rasmus deal and played last season at Lo A Peoria, so it’ll be a little bit before he’s ready.
