Today’s lineup against Jose Fernandez and the Marlins (hat tip Cardinals News Network):

· 3B Matt Carpenter

· RF Jon Jay

· LF Matt Holliday

· 1B Allen Craig

· C Yadier Molina

· SS Jhonny Peralta

· 2B Dan Descalso

· CF Peter Bourjos

· SP Lance Lynn

Scheduled pitchers: Kevin Siegrist, Dean Kiekhefer, Trevor Rosenthal, Keith Butler, Jorge Rondon, Scott McGregor, Logan Billbrough.

As far as the roster goes, Tyler Lyons is the latest casualty; he was optioned to Memphis, where he’ll be in the rotation. Lyons was a long shot for the 5th rotation spot, but a few bad outings left him on the outside looking in. With the demotion, there is one bullpen spot open; while Jason Motte should claim the spot when he ready, it’s open now to Jorge Rondon, Keith Butler, Scott McGregor, and Sam Freeman. Goold looks at Rondon, noting the Cardinals have asked him to worry about throwing strikes rather than throwing hard; the hard throwing righty has had issues with walks in the past, but hasn’t issued one yet this spring.

There are now 40 players remaining in big league camp, including Aledmys Diaz, who will make his game debut Friday; fans have been anxious to see the shortstop in the field. He’s been in Mexico the last few days securing his work Visa; prior to that, he could only practice on the backfields since he wasn’t authorized to work in the United States yet.

The Cardinals are putting tickets on sale today for the AT&T Rooftop seats at Cardinal Nation; the team announced that AT&T would be sponsoring the seating area. The area sounds intriguing; with a ticket, you get access to Busch Stadium, entry into the team Hall of Fame before and during the game, and an all you can eat buffet with full bar. Based off this, the tickets sound like they could be pricey.
