Card Gallery of the Day: 2010 Benchwarmer Vault Commemorative Autographs

Benchwarmer's yearly Vault offering - which is code for their way of clearing out inventory - is available now at various online trading card retailers.  Each "box" includes a box (so it's a box within a box, if that makes sense) from the past 15 years of Benchwarmer, including the earlier days of Benchwarer without autographs and swatch cards.  However, each box will also include a random assortment of inserts that were specially made for Vault.  Boxes currently sell for $40 to $50 online and at trade shows.

Today's gallery takes a look at the cards the company has produced for special events and trade shows, like the National Sports Collectors Convention, Comic Con and more.  Again, when you have extra cards that don't get distributed, better to repackage them and give them to collectors as a bonus rather than have them in the warehouse sitting for no reason.

As part of my continued service to the community, each day we will feature a different image gallery that highlights some of the finest cards that the industry has to offer.  It might be from sports or even comic books or possibly movies or it might be something out of the ordinary and maybe even borderline absurd.  But what matters is that people get to know about these cards and get interested in the hobby like I am.  We'll be back soon for another gallery, but check out our other Card of the Day features with Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Blake Griffin.

Juan can remember a trading card gone by the same way wine connoisseurs can recall an exquisite vintage; it's all in the smell. Either that or he just looks at the back of the card for the copyright print. Juan also moonlights as the Classic Game Examiner and be sure to check out his Twitter...
