Looking for some awesome live music in Denver this weekend? As is the case almost every weekend for the past couple of years, we’ve picked a few of the more promising gigs to help you narrow the search. 
 
FRIDAY, JAN. 20

Local bands Carbon Choir and Oak Creek are co-headlining at the Hi-Dive, 7 S. Broadway in Denver. Opening act is You, Me and Apollo. Tickets are $10 each (plus service charge), available from Hi-Dive. Doors at 8:00 PM; show starts at 9:00. Ages 21+.
 
Denver rockers Something Underground will play tonight at the Little Bear Saloon, 27895 Hwy. 74 in downtown Evergreen. $10 cover at the door. Band goes on at 9:00 PM. Ages 21+.

Denver country band The Railbenders are returning to Herman’s Hideaway, 1578 S. Broadway in Denver. Opening acts include The Jekylls and Stingray Jones. Tickets start at $15 each, plus service charge, available from Herman’s Hideaway. Doors at 7:00 pm; show starts at 7:30. Ages 21+.
 
SATURDAY, JAN. 21

Denver folk-rock artist Kim Jones is having a CD release show at Soiled Dove Underground, 7401 E. 1st Ave. in Denver. Opening the show is the Melanie Susuras Band. Tickets are $10-$12, available from Soiled Dove Underground. Doors at 7:00 PM; show starts at 8:00. Ages 21+.
 
Local singer/songwriters Wendy Woo and Nina Storey are playing their 10th annual show at Swallow Hill’s Daniels Hall, 71 E. Yale in Denver. Tickets are $20 advance, $22 day of show, available from Swallow Hill, with discounts available for members. Start time is 8:00 PM. This is an all-ages show!
