Car Show Fun

Looking for a way to relax, get in some exercise and enjoy the “sights” for a relativity small price? What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than to attend a car show of new and antique cars showcased by their proud owners? You walk, you talk, you learn. Each car or truck, in its shiny beauty, tells a story.

A week ago I attended a car show in Whittier, California. It was not just a car show, it was an extravaganza of sights, sounds and tastes. The cars were beautiful, ranging from old classic Fords to Camaros, Malibus and Formula 1 racing cars. Cars covered the grounds of a local community church. Owners of all ages proudly displayed their cars, and also give you the history behind them.

Then there were the food trucks that have changed the landscape into food heaven. They had everything from curly fries to chocolate chip cookies made by the Bakery Truck, hot out of the oven, to ice cream, roasted corn and many other foods and delights that you might find at a fair. A area off to the side with chairs and tables is reserved for diners. Stress is forgotten, spirits lifted and you get a slice of history. Go experience a car show today!
