In Colorado, 4 out of 5 car seats are installed incorrectly, leaving children susceptible to injury and death in a vehicle crash. Used properly, child safety seats and seat belts prevent injuries and save lives.

Did you know?

-Safety seat straps should always be flat, not twisted, to ensure they adequately absorb crash forces
-A child's safety seat harness clip should always be at armpit level
-A child safety seat is more effective in a crash if the child's jacket is worn over the straps instead of underneath
