In Car Park you'll park a lot of cars. They look like hybrids so you're in for a smug alert.
Car Park is a new app for the iPhone and iPod touch released on September 30th. It is an app that has you help arrange how cars are parked in a busy parking section. The app has a great concept and the gameplay is solidly good and challenging, but bad controls weigh down the app.
Car Park lets you park a bunch of cars in a parking lot. You do this buy touching the cars and drawing the path the car takes to the spot you want it to park in. After a while the car will drive away. As time progresses, more cars will make their way onscreen at once, and will create a lot of traffic onscreen. It eventually gets impossible to keep the game going without a crash somewhere.
The graphics are simple but sound. The background looks real while the cars are three different colors which simply tells you what the cars is doing. Green cars mean they need to be parked, yellow cars mean they are parked and will not move, and red cars are on their way off the screen.
The only thing that weighs down this app is the controls. Car Park seems to have simple controls but doesn’t due to unresponsiveness. You control each car by touching it and drawing its path. If an update were released to make it easier to gain control of the car the controls would be great.
All things considered, Car Park is an app that is above average as is. However, it has the potential to be great with a simple update to improve the controls. The scheme is sound but it lacks sensitivity. Outside of the controls this is a good app and worth the $1 to download. Once you hear of the update fixing the controls, go and download Car Park.
