On Saturday August 23, 2014, the Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the annual Car & Bike Show to Lake Gregory. VFW Post 9624 had hosted this show for many years. While the VFW is no longer able to host this show by themselves, they have offered their expertise and assistance to Crestline/Lake Gregory Chamber of Commerce to take it on for 2014 and beyond. With space for 190 cars and 42 bikes, this event will bring thousands of visitors to Crestline. The eleven Chamber Board members will need help to put this on, so they are seeking volunteers, which will be greatly appreciated.

Thursday August 14th the event committee will be meeting at the Chamber office on Lake Drive at the north end of Lake Gregory at 5:00 p.m. Please attend if you can. If you are unable to attend but are available to help, please call or email the Chamber office at your earliest convenience. They are still accepting entries and vendors for this event, which is titled "Run to the Lake". Registration forms must be received by August 20, 2014.

Scenic Lake Gregory is located east of Lake Gregory Drive, north of San Mortiz Drive and south of Lake Drive in the mountain community of Crestline. Lake Gregory Regional Park, currently under new management, has seen a number of improvements in recent months. The lake now features a floating playground, as well as the water slides and paddle boats that have drawn visitors for water fun for many years. Joggers can enjoy the path around the lake, and nature lovers can stroll within the park. This place is well worth visiting, and the car and bike show adds to the enjoyment.

San Moritz Lodge offers a large hall for weddings and special events. The kitchen has been renovated, and the restaurant in the lodge is open for business.
