Joe Caputo & Sons Fruit Market, a chain of grocery stores with three locations in northwest suburbs, has acquired four former Dominick's locations. The Jan. 25 acquisition involved stores located in Northbrook, Arlington Heights, Des Plaines and Elk Grove Village. The company has plans to renovate and reopen the stores under their own banner in the spring.

The Northbrook and Arlington Heights locations are scheduled to reopen by late March or early April. The Elk Grove store will be opening sometime in the summer and the Des Plaines location is expected to open by the end of the year.

Roundy's Supermarkets, the parent company of Mariano's, bought 11 Dominick's stores with plans to renovate and reopen them in February. Jewel acquired four locations and reopened them under their own banner earlier this month.
