While Dempsey’s goal’s have come from various spots on the pitch , Dempsey prefers free kicks.

“ I am always looking to take free kicks , I am a little selfish that way, we work on them in practice and we have a lot of guys who are good at taking them, today I felt good and so I took,” Dempsey said after Saturdays 3-2 win over FC Dallas.

Dempsey has recorded at least one point in all four appearances this season, totaling a league-high six goals with one assist.
