‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ flew higher than the macaws of Rio 2 to top the weekend box office, according to industry figures reported by Box Office Mojo on Monday.

The Marvel superhero sequel grossed $41.2 million in ticket sales from Friday to Sunday for a total of $158.8 million since opening April 4.

Animated comedy adventure sequel ‘Rio 2’ opened at No. 2 with $39.3 million.

Horror film ‘Oculus’ debuted at No. 3 with $12 million.

Sports drama ‘Draft Day’ starring Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner opened at No. 4 with $9.7 million

Biblical epic ‘Noah’ starring Russell Crowe sank three spots to No. 5 in its third weekend, earning $7.5 million for a total of $84.9 million since opening March 28.
