One of the best.
Capital Grille. Those words make my mouth water. Certainly one of the better upscale steak houses we have in South Florida. Amongst great fanfare and raving reviews from friends, I had to try the Boca Raton branch for myself. Having eaten at several Capital Grille's, I expected similar food and service to their other locations. The Boca Raton location stands apart from the rest. The reason is the service.
In honor of a special event, we decided on a 2001 Fisher Coach Insignia Cabernet which would pair well with our steaks. For starters, I did a soup and salad appetizer. A cup of Lobster Bisque and The Wedge salad. The bisque flavor was very good, but could have used some more chunks of meat. The salad was crisp, fresh, and delicious. So far so good.
The Bone-In Kona encrusted Sirloin Steak was next, with sides of Lyonnaise Potato and Asparagus. Steak was ordered medium and came out a perfect medium. Their dry aged beef is par excellence. The Fisher Cabernet paired beautifully with the beef and is a pricey, but worthy choice.
The service at the Boca Capital Grill was excellent. Much better than their other locations and certainly made up any minor problems we encountered through the evening.
Capital Grille is not for the faint of heart when it comes to sticker shock. At $42 for a steak and $9 for a side dish, it better be darn good. Loyal readers, it was darn good. I highly recommend the Capital Grill - Boca Raton for your steak eating pleasure. Located in the Boca Town Center mall on Glades Road. Reservations are strongly recommended.
