Capital Cities, a name pulled from an online search of band names, is the product of the next generation. They met on Craigslist, were discovered by Perez Hilton and are currently on tour with Katy Perry. What is a band to do after such a techno-whirlwind beginning? Ask you to Drop Your Pants, of course! But only for a good cause.
Tonight, Pier 97, Manhattan. You’re watching the sun set on the Hudson as you dance along to these talented guys promoting that you Drop Your Pants. For every pants-drop photo with the hashtag #Underwareness or #DropYourPants, Depend will donate $1 to charitable organizations that research bladder leakage.
Can’t make it tonight? Catch them in Chicago tomorrow night when they open for the upcoming Rolling Stone cover singer Katy Perry on her Prismatic World Tour or see them this weekend in San Francisco at the Outside Lands festival.
Who are Capital Cities? You’ve probably heard their song “Safe and Sound” on promotional campaigns for HBO, Smart Car, Microsoft or Mazda or perhaps you’ve seen this dynamic duo at the Sundance Film Festival or SXSW. Their new song “One Minute More” continues their optimistic message that life is about dichotomy with hope prevailing over all.
