A family in South Yarmouth, Mass. has been questioned by authorities regarding the disappearance of six-year-old Florida girl, HaLeigh Cummings.
The Cape Cod Times reports that deputies from a Florida sheriff’s office questioned the couple on Saturday at the South Yarmouth state police headquarters in relation to the little girl’s disappearance over six months ago.
Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe said, “This is an ongoing investigation and the state police detectives assigned to my office are assisting the Florida authorities. I’m not going to make any comments regarding an ongoing investigation.”
South Yarmouth, Mass. is over 1200 miles north of Satsuma, Fla., where HaLeigh vanished.
Police would not elaborate further about the investigation, and the identity of the individuals questioned has not yet been released.
HaLeigh’s stepmother, Misty Cummings, recently failed a polygraph, and other tests regarding her knowledge about the little girl’s disappearance. Misty claimed to be home alone with HaLeigh and her little brother when the girl went missing Feb. 10, however, authorities have publicly stated Misty's story has repeatedly changed and is not credible.

Now isn't that something,not much details,maybe they sold her.I just hope she is still alive,but it remains Misty would of had to of let someone in that house,left the door unlocked.I am sure they know and now is the time to come out with the truth,it would go better for them.Who knows maybe the cousin took her and dropped her some place,or some place between here and Tenn.is a grave.I do know this Haleigh is somewhere,something happened to her.Wish they would show a little love and tell someone.
Has anyone checked to see if Misty sold Haleigh for drugs or drug money?
Remember also Crystal didn't get to Satsuma until 6hrs after being notified of Haleigh missing..If Misty was out until Ron came home, somebody might have been aware she did this and went in also, also Cousin isn't out of the picture for me yet either...Can you fail polygraphs just cause of sheer nervousness? That would be me I'm sure..or when you pause and does it think your not giving the proper answer...I have no idea...I just think Misty wasn't there,or if she was, she had people there and so out of it maybe she crashed and didn't hear anything..but then would she be that alert when Ron came home?? I know nothing how drugs effect people or the situation..But up to now, I haven't had that feeling that Haleigh is gone..Hope I'm right..but also hope she is found..So make sure and take a good look at Haleigh, picture her with shorter hair dyed hair,but for now lets all keep are eyes open...
