Originally revealed in July, the new game follows series regular Strider Hiryu on a mission to eliminate the Grand Master Meio, who has the dystopian version of Earth in his iron-fisted rule.

The latest screenshots of this Metroidvania-inspired title were posted by North American Capcom employee GregaMan on the Capcom Unity blog.

In addition to posting "Strider" screenshots from yesterday and earlier, GregaMan previewed the game's soundtrack, which remixes familiar tunes from the series. Following the soundtrack preview was an interview with the game's composer, Michael John Mollo.

In the slideshow above, Hiryu is seen performing many of his classic moves from past entries in the "Strider" series. "Strider" is expected to arrive early next year on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC for $14.99.
