Capcom releases free 'Dead Rising 3' demo and details 'Operation Eagle' DLC

Today Dec. 13, 2013 Capcom Vancouver released a free 20-minute timed demo of “Dead Rising 3” to give Xbox One owners an amuse bouche of the outrageously fun and frantic zombie killing frenzy owners of the game experience. Additionally, the company revealed several details of the first episode of DLC "Operation Eagle."

In "Operation Eagle" players lead Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane into a pivotal mission which makes him question his beliefs. You'll have to find and rescue the President of the United States, who's gone missing. In addition to the main mission, this episode of DLC also gives players access to five new weapons, a new combo weapon, a new vehicle, a new clothing outfit, and extra Gamerscore to strive for. Any experience points earned in the DLC will also migrate into your main profile of “Dead Rising 3.” The new DLC will goes on sale Dec. 24, 2013 for $9.99, however you can save 25% by picking up a Season Pass for all four of the upcoming additional content at $29.99.

Haven't played "Dead Rising 3" yet? See if you can survive a zombie apocalypse in the new free 20-minute timed demo. In this sandbox demo you're stuck in a zombie-infested district of Ingleton within Los Perdidos and need to do whatever it takes to survive. You'll be able to hunt for weapon blueprints, assemble combo weapons and vehicle, and slay an untold number of zombies. The free demo can only be played twice per gamertag.

"Dead Rising 3" is currently available on Xbox One for $59.99.
